We are told not to worry about voter intimidation because there are plenty of laws which prohibit it. That’s fine in blue jurisdictions. But what about areas where the state and local governments are controlled by the GOP, and the police and the elections supervisors are big Trump supporters? Can we really rely on them to confront right-wing militia groups and enforce the law? And if they don’t, can we expect the judiciary to modify the results of the election after the fact?
As you can see, there are actually plenty of reasons to worry. Reality and paper are two completely different things.
