Let’s rub it in! Here are some ways in which Trump resembles Jimmy Carter:
- Both ran as outsiders determined, in their very different ways, to clean up Washington;
- Both won narrow victories over successors to the last elected president of the other party;
- Both were ineffective leaders; and
- Both were ultimately overwhelmed by a crisis not of their making (pandemic; Iran).
They’re so similar, they could be twins! Well, not really.
